But are they warm?
The answer is yes, they are very well insulated and often very energy efficient – sometimes even more so than a traditional bricks and mortar property.
Do Park Homes depreciate in value more than conventional housing?
No they generally follow the trend of the current housing market.
How secure are they?
All new Park Homes come with all UPVC lockable windows and doors and with an added bonus of living on a warden controlled park, theft on Park Home Estates are considered to be less common than on open housing estates.
Do the homes come with any kind of guarantee?
All new homes come with a Ten Year Gold Shield Manufacturers Guarantee so this gives you extra peace of mind.
Are we protected by any agreement?
Once you have purchased a Park Home, you will be required along with the owner of the Park to sign an agreement. This agreement is bound by The Mobile Homes Act 1983 and gives you as a tenant and the owner that added security that rules are in place and must be abided by.
What band Council Tax do Park Homes come under?
Regardless of the price, all Park Homes are banded at the lowest band, Band A.
Do we have to pay Stamp Duty?
No
Do we need to instruct a solicitor in order to proceed with a purchase on a Park Home?
Although often preferred, it is not necessary to instruct a solicitor as Park Homes are not registered on the Land Registry therefore there is no conveyancing necessary. |
